Cops: Motorcyclist critically injured in St. James crash

An East Setauket man was critically injured Monday night when the motorcycle he was operating crashed in St. James, police said.
Steven A. Perrone, 34, was heading east on North Country Road about 11:30 p.m. when the motorcycle crashed into a guardrail just west of Acorn Road, Suffolk County police said.
Perrone was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Detectives asked that anyone with information about the crash call them at 631-854-8452.
