Motorcyclist dies in crash on Rte. 25 in Selden

A male motorcyclist was killed after crashing with another vehicle on Route 25 in Selden on Wednesday night, police said.
The crash occurred near Independence Plaza about 9:24 p.m. The motorcyclist, whose age and name were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician's assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office.
The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash, police said.
Suffolk police are still investigating the cause, and no further information was immediately available.
