Motorcyclist hurt after hitting deer in Peconic
A Franklin Square man riding his motorcycle in Peconic was seriously injured when he hit a deer crossing Route 48, Southold Town police said.
Vincent Buscemi, 28, was treated at the scene by Southold Fire Rescue shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, and was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital Trauma Center by the Suffolk County Police Aviation Unit, police said.
