Suffolk County police are investigating an overnight motorcycle crash in that left a Bay Shore man dead Thursday.

Police said Gregory Edwards, 24, of Williams Street, was traveling east on Tillie Street in Bay Shore when he lost control of his Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle and struck a parked car about 12:20 a.m.

He was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known. Police said the accident is being investigated.

The bike ended up on the front lawn of a home. No one in the home was injured.
