The motorcyclist involved in a crash with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Center Moriches escaped serious injury, police and fire officials said.

The crash occurred at 12:42 p.m. on Railroad Avenue at Montauk Highway, said Suffolk County police, who could provide no further detail other than to say the man's injuries were not serious.

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital by the Center Moriches Fire Department.
