Mount Sinai man charged in bank robbery
A Mount Sinai man was arrested Friday in the robbery of a Rocky Point bank earlier this month, Suffolk County police said.
Justin Collier, 23, of 12 Gardenia Rd., is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday on a charge of third-degree robbery in First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
At about 1 p.m. on Sept. 14, police said two men entered the Capital One Bank at 75 Rte. 25A and one of them demanded that the teller give him cash.
The teller complied, and the two men left the bank northbound on foot with an unspecified amount of cash, police said. Police are still looking for the second man in the robbery.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
