Homicide detectives are investigating what was reported as an early morning stabbing Tuesday in North Amityville, Suffolk County police said.

Police said they received a 911 call at 12:09 a.m. reporting a stabbing on Somerset Road.

The victim has not been identified by police. The crime scene is near Emerald Lane and Chevy Chase Road - and police said surrounding roads are closed. The area is east of Route 110 in an area between Great Neck Road, Albany Avenue and Sunrise Highway.
