N. Lindenhurst car fire investigated
Someone set a car on fire with Molotov cocktails in North Lindenhurst on Friday, emergency responders said.
Someone threw the firebombs through the back window of the car, parked in the driveway of a home on North Clinton Avenue near Sunrise Highway, emergency responders told Newsday.
Suffolk County police confirmed that a fire was reported in a 911 call at 4:36 a.m., but a spokesman declined further comment, citing the ongoing investigation.
Volunteers from the North Lindenhurst Fire Department responded.
No one was injured, and the fire was quickly contained.
