Police said two people were injured, neither of them seriously, early Wednesday in a two-car crash in Coram.

The accident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Old Town Road and North Ocean Avenue.

The conditions of the injured are not immediately known, but police said neither of the injuries was considered life-threatening. Initially, police said four women were injured.

Three of the women were in a sedan, while the other was traveling alone in a Jeep Cherokee, police said. No one was charged in the accident.

The New York State Department of Transportation reported that North Ocean Avenue remained closed between Route 25 and Old Town Road after the crash for the accident investigation.

Police said the road was reopened at about 11 a.m.

The accident site is not far from the scene of a fatal crash that left one dead and two seriously injured in June.
