A Secret Santa has replaced the inflatable snowman that was recently stolen from a Central Islip family’s front lawn.

Edison Sepulveda, 25, recorded a woman stealing the family’s holiday decoration around 1 a.m. Nov. 28 on a security camera attached to the front of the home. He posted the footage to Facebook hoping someone would recognize the thief, who is seen removing the stakes securing the 6-foot-tall snowman and carrying it away.

Sepulveda said the snowman, which has stood on the family’s lawn every holiday season for the past 13 years, has not been returned.

Wednesday someone decided to spread some holiday cheer, leaving a brand-new snowman, boxed-up and sitting on Sepulveda’s front porch, he said.

“We’re all just really happy. We were not expecting this,” he said. “I just wish that we knew who it was so that we could thank them.”

Suffolk County police said they are investigating the incident.
