Firefighters from Port Jefferson, Terryville and Miller Place battled an early-morning fire in an unoccupied home in Belle Terre on Monday, police and fire officials said.

Suffolk County police and fire officials said no one was injured in the fire. Police said the fire had been classified as "noncriminal," but said an investigation was continuing Monday.

The fire at the home on High Path, near Beach Road, was reported in a 911 call at 6:57 a.m.
