"No Parking" signs will be erected on a dozen local roads near the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Shinnecock Hills Friday through Sunday to eliminate problems with overflow parking at the Escape to New York music festival being held on the reservation grounds.

Southampton Town police will also assign two police officers to control traffic on County Road 39 at the intersections of Tuckahoe Road and Tuckahoe Lane, and two other police officers will be assigned to patrol designated camping areas.

Promoters say they have the capacity to handle 5,000 people a day at the concert, although they do not have figures on the number of tickets sold. The concert features on-site camping for some attendees.

Town officials said the extra police costs will be paid for by the festival promoters. Tickets to the weekend concert are $100 a night and $275 for the three-day weekend.
