The jogger hit by a minivan Tuesday at Stony Brook University has died of his injuries, Suffolk police said Thursday.

Noah Bernard Farrelly, 18, of Binghamton, was a student at the school and had been in critical condition after being struck on campus just before 11 a.m. at Nicolls Road and Health Sciences Drive, police said.

Police had said the crash occurred as Farrelly was jogging southbound and crossing the street even though he didn’t have the light. He was struck by a 2018 Dodge Caravan that police said was driven by Mohammad Refaat, 65, of Patchogue. Refaat was not hurt.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
