One man suffered serious injuries and at least one other minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash involving a coffee truck early Thursday morning in North Amityville, Suffolk County police said.

The crash occurred on New Highway at New Horizons Boulevard at about 6:20 a.m.

Police said the driver of the coffee truck, who refused medical attention at the scene, was turning left onto New Horizons from southbound New Highway when his vehicle collided with a northbound 2003 Ford pickup truck. A 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe then collided with the pickup truck, too, police said.

The driver of the Santa Fe was seriously injured, police said. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the road was closed to traffic between Albany Avenue and Cassata Drive. It has since been reopened.

No one has been charged in the accident, which remains under investigation on Thursday.
