Suffolk County police said the 2011 Nissan Maxima struck a house on 42nd Street about 1:15 a.m.

Witnesses reported seeing the driver and passengers flee after the crash, police said.

The house was occupied, but no one inside was hurt. The home was damaged, but not structurally compromised, police said.

A police spokesman said he did not know how many people were inside the house at the time of the crash.
