Police tracked down a North Amityville man this week and charged him in the shooting death of a man, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Shiroide Sims, 26, of 52 Madison Ave., shot Ronnie Woolridge, 25, of Wheatley Heights once in the neck at Andpress Plaza in North Amityville on Nov. 20 at about 12:20 p.m.

Woolridge was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.

An investigation by Suffolk County Police, the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Hempstead Village Police Department led to Sims' arrest, police said.

He is charged with murder and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
