All occupants were safely evacuated Friday morning from a North Babylon house fire on Parkdale Drive, according to the North Babylon Volunteer Fire Company.

Responding to an 8:30 a.m. alert, the company's arriving unit reported heavy fire throughout the one-and-a-half story dwelling and requested support from surrounding departments, according to an account on the company's website.

The fire was under control about 10 a.m., with help from the Deer Park, Babylon, West Islip, West Babylon and Wyandanch Fire Departments, according to the website.

The Town of Babylon's fire marshals' office is investigating the cause.
