Northport police check on boat injury

Northport police and fire personnel responded to an emergency call Friday reporting the possible impaling of a person on a boat cleat, the village chief of police said.

Police Chief Ric Bruckenthal said his officers took an emergency call a little after 1 p.m. of a person impaled near Eatons Neck Road and Ocean Avenue.

Bruckenthal said he had no other details, including the severity of the injury.
