Police say a woman was found stabbed to death in a bathtub of her boyfriend’s Brooklyn apartment.

Police charged 36-year-old Brian Sohtz with murder.

The NYPD says Sohtz was arrested in Suffolk County. They say he was headed there when he called a relative who in turn called police.

The 34-year-old victim, Daniella Mannino, was found at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The New York Times says she was the daughter of Joseph Mannino who worked in the office services department of the Brooklyn district attorney’s office. A spokesman told the paper that District Attorney Charles Hynes would seek a special prosecutor in the case.

It was not immediately known if Sohtz had a lawyer.
