Kristen Bednar, 30, crashed into a tree while snowmobiling in southern Vermont and was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., where she died, police said.
The medical examiner's office has determined that Bednar suffered "blunt impact injuries to the head and chest" and "an accident was the cause and manner," a spokeswoman said Monday. The spokeswoman declined to comment further.
Bednar was a teacher at Birch Lane Elementary School in Massapequa.
