LIRR: On or close after train strikes, kills person in Wyandanch

The Long Island Rail Road was on or close to schedule at the beginning of the Friday morning commute after an unidentified person was struck and killed by an LIRR train Thursday night east of the Wyandanch station, officials said.
Service on the Ronkonkoma line had been suspended in all directions at about midnight, officials said.
According to LIRR spokesman Aaron Donovan, the person was hit by a train about 9:30 p.m. He said the victim was a 28-year-old Levittown man.
Donovan said there’s no evidence of criminality involved.
He said MTA police are investigating.
