One hurt in East Farmingdale crash

Conklin Street at Walnut Avenue East in East Farmingdale was closed in both directions for about an hour Thursday morning after a sport utility vehicle crashed into a box truck, causing a spill from the truck's fuel tank, Suffolk County police said.
The accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. when an eastbound Saturn crossed into the westbound lanes and hit the box truck, police said.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, a police spokeswoman said. The driver of the box truck was not injured, the spokeswoman said.
