Police in Suffolk are investigating two Tuesday night shootings, one in Gordon Heights and the other in Wyandanch.

One victim was shot in the arm in Wyandanch. No one was injured in the Gordon Heights shooting.

Suffolk County police said no one had been arrested. Police gave no indication that the two incidents, which occurred about 20 minutes apart, were related.

The first incident happened at 9:12 p.m. outside a home on Park Lane in Gordon Heights. Police said "several shots" were fired at an intended victim, but no one was hit.

The second shooting occurred outside a home on 16th Street in Wyandanch at 9:33 p.m., police said. Police said one victim was shot once in the arm and was transported to a hospital with "nonlife-threatening" injuries, but it was unclear how many shots were fired in that incident.
