One person was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital early Monday, after a late-night crash that briefly closed Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, Southampton Town police said.

Police said the T-bone-type two-vehicle crash occurred at Montauk Highway and Canoe Place Road at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday -- and closed Montauk Highway for about two hours.

No one was charged in the crash and police said the injured person was airlifted as a precautionary measure.

Police did not release the identities of anyone involved.

The road was reopened at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
