One person stabbed, one arrested after dispute in Copiague, cops say
A dispute between two people in Copiague ended in a stabbing Friday night, Suffolk police said.
A male victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in serious but stable condition after the stabbing about 6:30 p.m. The two males, whose names and ages were not released by police, were arguing near 35th Street and Franklin Avenue, just south of West Sunrise Highway.
The suspect was apprehended at the scene, police said, and charges against him are pending. First Squad detectives are investigating.
