Suffolk County police closed Long Island Avenue from the Deer Park railroad station west to Commack Road in Deer Park after two cars collided on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Credit: Chris Sabella

A car crash in Deer Park left at least one person seriously injured on Tuesday evening, Suffolk police said.

The crash took place at Long Island Avenue and Commack Road at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday night. Police said at least one person had been badly hurt, but could provide no further information.
