One seriously injured in Stony Brook condo fire, officials say
One person was seriously injured Wednesday morning in a fire at a 55-and-over condo complex in Stony Brook, officials said.
Suffolk County police arson section detectives are investigating the cause of the fire at the complex on Strathmore Gate Drive, reported at 10:23 a.m.
One unidentified person inside the residence was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said. There were no other occupants at the time of the fire, police said.
Firefighters from Stony Brook, St. James, Nesconset and Setauket all responded.
