Workers from an out-of-state electrical construction company who were in Southampton to help restore power in the aftermath of superstorm Sandy got into a bar fight last week -- leading to the arrest of one of them Wednesday, police said.

Blake A. Gurtler, 29, of Beattie, Kan., was arrested on a third-degree assault charge after an investigation of the fight Nov. 8 at the Blue Collar Bar on County Road 39, Southampton Town police said.

Police did not identify the other man involved in what they called "a physical altercation" -- but said that man ended up at Stony Brook University Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Police said the altercation occurred at about 11 p.m. and that "numerous workers" from L.E. Myers, an electrical construction firm with offices in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin, had gone to the Blue Collar, but did not say what sparked the fight.

According to its website, L.E. Myers was established in 1891 and is the oldest company of the subsidiaries part of the MYR Group, a Midwest-based electrical construction firm.

Arraignment details for Gurtler were not available.
