Overturned truck on Commack Road stalls traffic
An overturned truck caused stop-and-go traffic on southbound Commack Road Wednesday morning, Suffolk County police said.
The truck was traveling southbound at about 10:30 a.m. when it apparently flipped and landed up against a tree near Vanderbilt Parkway in Commack, police said.
No injuries were reported. Police could not say if the accident was caused by slippery roads or speeding.
A tow truck was dispatched to the scene, but traffic was slow in both directions between the Long Island Expressway service drive and Vanderbilt Parkway, according to reports.
