A Pennsylvania coroner's office has ruled the death of a Deer Park woman killed last week in a crash on Interstate 76 accidental.

Pennsylvania State police said Monday the cause of the crash remains under investigation - and declined to say whether the 20-year-old driver from Commack would be charged.

Kristin Marie Green, 20, was riding in the front passenger seat when the Volkswagen GTI driven by Robert Felberbaum failed to negotiate a turn on the interstate and crashed into tree in Caernarvon Township last Wednesday, police said.

The crash occurred at 4 p.m. Police said Felberbaum fell asleep.

Felberbaum and Green were traveling with two other friends to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania when the crash occurred. He and the two surviving passengers - Tracy Cowit, 21, of Syossett, and Richard DiLorenzo, 21, of Levittown - sustained what police described as major injuries.

A spokeswoman at Reading Hospital Medical Center said Cowit was released from the hospital on Aug. 26 and that DiLorenzo was released Aug. 27. She said she could neither confirm nor deny Felberbaum had ever been a patient.

The Reading Eagle reported that Felberbaum had been transported to the hospital following the fatal crash - and was last reported to be in fair condition.

All four people in the car worked at the Apple store in the Walt Whitman Mall.

They had stopped in Philadelphia before heading to Hershey Park, where relatives told Newsday they planned to stay until last Thursday.

"The case is still under investigation," Pennsylvania State police Cpl. William McCune said. He was unable to provide a timetable for the probe.
