One person died and six others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Medford on Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

A Toyota traveling north on Horseblock Road attempted to make a left on to the Long Island Expressway Service Road at 4:48 p.m., police said, when it was struck by a southbound pickup truck.

A passenger in a rear seat of the Toyota was killed, police said, and the others that were injured were transported to area hospitals.

No additional information was immediately available.
