Suffolk County police said they are investigating after a man was found dead in a bay in East Patchogue on Saturday.

A police spokesman said officers were called to the south end of Pine Neck Avenue about 12:30 p.m., where they found the man’s body face down in Patchogue Bay. Police think he was 26, the spokesman said.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating, though the spokesman said the death appeared to be noncriminal.
