A Patchogue bicyclist was struck and injured by a Suffolk County police cruiser Saturday night.

The bicyclist was riding on Waverly Avenue near Sunrise Highway when he was hit by the cruiser about 11 p.m., Suffolk County police said.

The bicyclist was treated for a broken leg. Police did not have any details about how the collision occurred. No charges were filed, police said.
