Pedestrian, 76, hit by driver, 84, at Walt Whitman mall, say cops

A 76-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a car driven by an 84-year-old man in the parking lot of the Walt Whitman mall in South Huntington Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The woman was taken to the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where she is in serious condition, police said. No names were released. The car involved was a brown Honda CRV, police said.

No summonses or citations were issued and no arrests were made, police said.
