Pedestrian hit by car in Selden

A pedestrian suffered a broken leg Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Middle Country Road in Selden, Suffolk County police said Sunday.
According to a police report the incident occurred at 8:30.
Police said the driver pulled into a nearby Home Depot parking lot and called police to say she thought she hit something. The accident is under investigation and no charges had been filed.
The identities of the victim and the driver were not immediately available. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment and released, police said.
