Pedestrian critical after hit by car
A Levittown man was critically injured Sunday night when he was struck by a car as he crossed Union Boulevard in Bay Shore, police said.
James Walker, 26, was struck by the westbound 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Danielle Sireci, 22, of West Islip, as he crossed Union at Windsor Avenue at 9:05 p.m., Suffolk County police said. Sireci was not injured.
Walker was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition, police said.
The car was impounded for a safety check. Sireci was not charged in the accident.
