Pedestrian fatally struck by truck in Bohemia, cops say

A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night in Bohemia when he was struck by a tractor-trailer cab on Veterans Memorial Highway, police said.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family, Suffolk County police said.
The accident occurred at Feuereisen Avenue at 9 p.m.
Police said the victim was struck by a 2014 Freightliner headed east on Vets Highway.
The driver was not charged or injured.
Police said the investigation is continuing and ask anyone with information to call detectives at 631-854-8546.
