A man had to be flown to a hospital after being struck by a car in Huntington on Friday night.

A man driving a 2004 Subaru tried to make a left turn into a parking lot near the corner of Main Street and Stewart Avenue at about 6:05 p.m. when he hit a male pedestrian. The 59-year-old pedestrian was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his head and leg.

The Subaru driver, who was not injured, stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed.

Police did not release the names of the men involved.
