Pedestrian hit, injured in Babylon
A pedestrian walking in Babylon Village Saturday night was injured when he was struck by a Mercury Marquis, Suffolk police said.
The pedestrian, Sean Lapersonerie, 24, of Copiague, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with head injuries, which police described as not life threatening.
Lapersonerie was hit about 9:45 p.m. while trying to cross on East Main Street, just west of Route 231. He was attempting to get from the south side to the north side of the road, police said.
The driver, Paul Delmonico, 45, of Babylon, was not injured, police said. Delmonico has not been charged in the accident.
