Pedestrian hit in Lindenhurst, Suffolk police say

A pedestrian was struck and is believed to be seriously injured shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday in Lindenhurst, Suffolk police said.

The incident occurred on Third Avenue.

No further details were immediately available.
