Pedestrian injured in N. Amityville
A vehicle hit a pedestrian in North Amityville Sunday night, sending one victim to the hospital, police said.
Suffolk County Police received a call at 9:27 p.m. of an accident at Jefferson Avenue and Broadway. Police said the pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital. The victim's condition listed as serious Sunday night, police said.
No arrests were immediately made, but police remained on the scene. Police said the driver remained at the scene of the crash. The victim's identity was not disclosed by police.
