Pedestrian injured in Southampton accident, police say
A man was badly injured after being struck by a vehicle in Southampton Town, police said.
Southampton Town police said the incident happened about 6:08 p.m. on Flanders Road between a traffic circle and Old Quogue Road.
The injured man was taken by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital.
No further details were available.
