A vehicle struck a pedestrian on Route 25 in Selden on Saturday night, killing the pedestrian, Suffolk County police said.

Suffolk County police are investigating the 9:06 p.m. crash, and Route 25 is closed in both directions between Boyle and College Roads, police said.

A Kia Soul traveling west on Route 25 in Selden struck the pedestrian. The female driver stayed at the scene and criminality is not suspected, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police have not identified the adult victim.

Police did not provide further information.
