Pedestrian killed in Huntington crash, driver arrested, cops say
A Huntington Station woman was killed in a motor vehicle crash Sunday in Huntington, police said.
Ena Flores, 47, was attempting to cross New York Avenue at Nassau Road about 5:05 p.m. when she was struck by a 2005 Nissan Sentra driven by Jorge Granados, 25, of Huntington Station, Suffolk police said.
Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.
Granados was arrested and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle. The car was impounded for a safety inspection, police said. Arraignment information was not available Sunday night.
