Suffolk police identified a pedestrian who was killed in a hit and run crash in Lake Grove early Sunday morning as Brian T. Bianchi.

Bianchi, 49, of Lake Grove, had been standing in the turning lane of Middle Country Road at Hawkins Avenue at about 1:40 a.m. when an unknown vehicle hit him, then fled the scene, police said.

Bianchi was pronounced dead at the scene by the Suffolk County medical examiner's office.
