A 22-year-old man walking in traffic early Saturday in Holbrook was killed after being hit by two cars, Suffolk County police said.

Patrick McCourt, of Huntington, was walking in the travel lanes of Veterans Memorial Highway about 5:30 a.m. when a westbound 2008 Nissan struck him. A second car, a 2001 Ford, also hit McCourt, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers weren't injured, and no citations were issued.
