A pedestrian was seriously injured in Medford on Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle on Route 112, Suffolk police said.

Concetta Cullin, 48, of Kings Park, was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger northbound on Route 112 when she struck the pedestrian about a half-mile south of Commercial Boulevard at 5:52 p.m., police said.

The pedestrian, PL Jean-Baptiste, 30 of Hempstead, was transported by Medford Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was listed in serious condition.

Cullin was not injured.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.
