Police are searching for two men who stormed a Shirley home late Thursday, using a machete to attack and injure two male occupants before fleeing with cellphones and cash.

A third occupant of the home was not injured, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the home-invasion style robbery occurred on Surrey Circle and was reported in a 911 call at 11:35 p.m. The house appears to have been targeted, police told Newsday.

Police said two victims were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life-threatening machete wounds.

One man received stitches to the head, police said. Another wounded man was treated for leg injuries.

Police said the investigation is "active and continuing."
