Police: 2 men sought in Riverhead shooting
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Town of Riverhead police detectives are looking for two men in connection with the shooting of a man and woman in Riverhead earlier in August.
A man, 19, and a woman, 18, had wounds to their arms in the shooting at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, according to a Tuesday news release.
Riverhead police responded to the corner of Grove Street and South Oakland Drive after a 911 call and found the two, each wounded by a gunshot.
The two were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening, police said.
One suspect is in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5-foot-8, with a thin build. The other is in his early 20s and about 5-foot-10.
