Northport Village Police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said Tuesday they are looking for three men who beat and attempted to rob a pizza deliveryman in Northport.

The three suspects, all wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and between 18 and 22 years old, knocked the deliveryman to the ground in the 500 block of Main Street shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release.

They repeatedly punched and kicked him while they attempted to remove personal property from the victim's pockets, the release said.

The three did not get any proceeds and left the scene in a black late-model, two-door hatchback Honda, the release said.

The car had tinted windows, tinted taillights, a loud muffler and possibly had a standard shift transmission.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
